Mallard’s Reflections
A mallard gazes at his reflection,
In the pond’s still, tranquil section,
He sees himself, a dapper drake,
With feathers fine, for beauty’s sake.
He admires his emerald neck,
His wings, his bill, his plumage sleek,
A touch of vanity, it seems,
In this mallard’s watery dreams.
He ruffles feathers, preens with care,
A mallard’s pride, beyond compare,
In his reflection, he finds art,
A masterpiece, right from the start.

Fused Art Glass Duck that I did a few years ago. This IS NOT painting on glass. This is painting with colored glass frit (small pieces of crushed glass) that are carefully arranged and fired to 1500 degrees in a glass kiln. Molten glass seeks to be 6 millimeters thick, so dams must employed to retain the oval shape. extensive cold working (grinding) is done to smooth the edges.
Dimensions: Oval 20″ X 13 3/4″ X 5/8″ and weighs 11.2 pounds.
After checkout, or before, please use this contact form to arrange shipping and discuss floating wall display options.
Glad to find another artist that works with glass as a medium for painting. Lived in Klamath for a few yrs. Now live and art in Redmond

Is this glass or resin?
